A Concert for George Martin with Contemporaneous and Special Guests
Jherek Bischoff, Music Director

This year we sing the praises of the talented teams who built the new St. Ann’s Warehouse. Our honorees – DBI, Marvel Architects, Charcoalblue, MVVA, and Yorke Construction – have lovingly realized an inventive new vision for the Tobacco Warehouse that foregrounds rather than camouflages its history. The evening begins with cocktails in the garden and lobby, followed by a concert and family style dinner in the Steinberg Theater. Night owls can expect dessert and dancing in the lobby after dinner.

This year’s concert will pay tribute to the late George Martin, the genius record producer, composer, and arranger who shaped some of the greatest music of the 20th century for a diverse cadre of artists including Elton John, Kate Bush, Cheap Trick, Ella Fitzgerald, and of course The Beatles. Martin provided the rich orchestrations and complex arrangements that defined The Beatles’ lush sound, created unforgettable soundscapes for the James Bond franchise, and even produced a comic version of Splish Splash!
