John Kane is sitting on a hospital gurney, and very shortly a jazz percussionist, two women called Mary, a very old man and a giant lobster will arrive…
Following rave reviews at the Edinburgh and Galway International Arts Festivals this summer, Enda Walsh returns to St. Ann’s Warehouse with Medicine, a devastatingly funny and absurdist work that maintains a taut balance between hilarity and sorrow. This “superb production” (The Scotsman) features a sensational cast led by Domhnall Gleeson (Harry Potter, Star Wars) whose performance “repeatedly cuts you to the bone.” (The Irish Times).
Runtime: 90 minutes, no intermission
